    Returns & Refunds Policy

    Thank you for choosing ArdanShield. We are committed to supplying high-quality smart lock and access control hardware. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains your rights and our procedures in accordance with UK consumer law.

    Important: ArdanShield operates on a supply-only basis. Installation, configuration and maintenance are the responsibility of the purchaser.

    1. 30-Day Returns (Change of Mind)

    Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you may return eligible items within 30 days of receiving your order.

    To qualify for a change-of-mind return:

    • The item must be unused and uninstalled
    • The item must be in original packaging
    • The product must be in fully re-saleable condition
    • No screws, fittings or components may have been used or marked

    Products that have been installed, fitted to a door, wired, programmed or used are not eligible for change-of-mind returns.

    2. Commercial Orders

    For bulk or commercial purchases (including hotels, HMOs, serviced accommodation and offices), returns for change of mind may be subject to restocking approval.

    We reserve the right to refuse returns of high-volume orders that are not in strictly re-saleable condition.

    3. How to Start a Return

    Email us at info@ardanshield.com within 30 days of delivery stating:

    • Your order number
    • The reason for return
    • Clear photos of the product and packaging

    We will issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) where applicable. Returns without an RMA may not be processed.

    4. Return Shipping

    • Faulty or damaged on arrival: We will provide a prepaid return label once verified.
    • Change-of-mind returns: Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Items must be sent via tracked and insured courier.
    • International orders: International returns are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

    ArdanShield is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

    5. Inspection & Deductions

    All returned items are inspected upon receipt.

    If an item shows signs of installation, wear, damage or missing components, we reserve the right to:

    • Reject the return
    • Apply a partial refund to reflect diminished value

    Items returned in non-re-saleable condition may be returned to the customer.

    6. Faulty Products

    If you believe your product is faulty, this will be handled under our Warranty Policy.

    Manufacturing defects must be verified. Issues caused by:

    • Incorrect installation
    • Door misalignment
    • Structural movement
    • Electrical wiring errors
    • Maintenance neglect

    are not classified as faults and will not qualify for refund.

    7. Refund Processing

    Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 working days of inspection and approval.

    Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the error was ours.

    8. Order Cancellations

    You may cancel your order within 14 days of delivery in accordance with UK consumer law, provided the product has not been installed or used.

    9. Limitation of Refund Liability

    ArdanShield does not cover:

    • Installation labour costs
    • Removal costs
    • Emergency locksmith fees
    • Business interruption or loss of income
    • Third-party contractor charges

    Refunds are limited to the purchase price of the product supplied.
