ArdanShield WorkRoom / An illustrative hotel day

A hotel day, with the work connected.

From the first briefing to the next handover, see how different departments can keep the work in view. A practical story told through real application screens.

Screens show ArdanShield House Hotel, an illustrative hotel with fictional people and records.

Morning / Priorities

Begin with the work that needs a decision.

In this illustrative day, the duty manager starts by reviewing open, overdue, blocked and review-stage work. Department leads confirm the actual position before making the day’s plan.

Start with the exceptions that need another department’s help or a manager’s decision.

Decide what needs attention before adding more instructions.

Before service / Requests

Give a colleague a clear brief.

Housekeeping needs maintenance support. A shared request identifies the issue, the receiving department and acceptance, while the assigned team handles its own work.

The receiving manager can accept the request, name an owner and give the requesting team a clear next step.

Receipt is useful. Accepted ownership is better.

Before the event / Preparation

Coordinate setup across departments.

The event record brings the operational window and department acknowledgements into view. Teams can discuss preparation, restrictions and the time the space is needed.

When the plan changes, the responsible lead updates the position and confirms who needs to act.

Make the preparation window visible to everyone involved.

During the day / Visits

Keep a contractor update connected to the work.

A contractor progress record provides a place for the hotel’s coordination notes, concerns and reported position. The team can distinguish work described as progressing from work accepted after review.

Specialist decisions remain with the appropriate people.

Know what was reported and what still needs checking.

Before handback / Review

Check the outcome before closing the loop.

The team submits the cleaning work with its checklist. A manager still has a review decision to make, and the record keeps that responsibility visible.

The relevant department then communicates the confirmed operational position through the hotel’s agreed process.

The next team needs a confirmed outcome, not an assumption.

Shift change / Continuity

Leave the next shift an actionable position.

Finish with the work that remains open: the current owner, next action, dependency and check-back time. Handover records give the incoming lead a place to begin.

The incoming lead can pick up the current position and confirm the next follow-up.

The day changes hands; the work keeps its context.
