How reliable is the facial recognition?
TrueFace™ uses facial mapping to recognise registered users quickly and securely. As with any face unlock system, performance can vary depending on lighting, positioning, setup and environmental conditions.
What if face unlock does not work?
You can still manage access through the Tuya Smart app, and mechanical key backup is available if power is depleted. Depending on the setup and product configuration, additional access methods may also be available.
Can I still use PIN, app or key access?
TrueFace™ uses Tuya app control and includes mechanical key backup guidance. If you need specific unlock methods confirmed before purchase, contact ArdanShield and we can help check the current specification.
What happens if the battery runs out?
You’ll receive low-battery alerts in the app. If power is depleted, use the supplied mechanical key and then recharge or replace the battery as required.
Is it weatherproof?
Yes. With IP68 sealing and a durable zinc-alloy build, TrueFace™ is designed for UK weather year-round.
Do I need a gateway?
