Fingerprint, PIN and card authentication are built directly into the cylinder-side reader. It is a smart cylinder solution rather than a complete replacement handle or a motor for the entire multipoint locking mechanism.

Will it fit my door?
A compatible Euro-profile cylinder arrangement is the starting point. uPVC, composite, timber and aluminium doors can all use different locking arrangements, so checking the existing cylinder is more important than the door material alone.
Before ordering, confirm the cylinder profile, both A/B measurements, internal and external knob clearance, and how your existing locking mechanism operates. If you are unsure, ArdanShield can help you check the arrangement before ordering.
- Identify your existing Euro-profile cylinder and locking mechanism.
- Record whether the handle needs to be lifted before locking.
- Measure the outside and inside cylinder dimensions separately.
- Check clearance around the handle, escutcheon and door frame.
Measure both sides, not just the total.
Use the centre of the cylinder fixing screw as your reference point. Measure from that centre point to the outside end of the cylinder for measurement A, then from the centre point to the inside end for measurement B.
EntryCyl™ is designed around adjustable configurations covering 60–90 mm and 90–120 mm overall ranges. Every order also includes 2 × 5 mm and 2 × 10 mm extension components.
A matching overall length does not by itself confirm suitability. The A/B split and clearance around the reader and internal knob also matter.

Cylinder upgrade. Not a door rebuild.
For a compatible installation, EntryCyl™ replaces the existing cylinder while the surrounding handle and locking hardware remain in place.
- Remove or configure the internal knob as required.
- Remove the existing compatible cylinder.
- Adjust EntryCyl™ to the required configuration.
- Insert the cylinder and secure it using the cylinder fixing screw.
- Refit and tighten the internal knob.
- Install 4 × AAA alkaline batteries with the correct polarity.
- Pair EntryCyl™ with your selected TTLock or Tuya app and enrol authorised users.
- Test each access method with the door open before normal use.
If you are unsure about cylinder removal, adjustment or the operation of your existing locking mechanism, use a competent locksmith or installer.
Have a lift-to-lock door?
If you currently lift your handle before turning the key, you will generally continue to do the same with EntryCyl™.
EntryCyl™ replaces the cylinder and provides the smart authentication. It does not motorise the complete multipoint locking mechanism.
- Close the door.
- Lift the handle where your existing mechanism requires it.
- Authenticate using fingerprint, PIN, card or app.
- Rotate the EntryCyl™ reader knob to operate the cylinder.
Different multipoint mechanisms can operate differently, so always confirm the correct sequence for your individual door.

TTLock access management
TTLock supports permanent, timed, one-time and recurring eKeys, along with permanent, timed, one-time, custom and recurring passcodes. Cards and fingerprints can also be managed for permanent or scheduled access, with additional administrator controls available through the TTLock ecosystem.
Tuya access management
Tuya provides app-based user and access management including passwords, temporary passwords, fingerprints, cards and access records. Available controls are presented through the Tuya or Smart Life ecosystem for the selected Tuya version.

Available controls vary slightly between TTLock and Tuya. Depending on the selected platform and configuration, these can include temporary credentials, user management, access records and additional lock settings.

Add a compatible gateway for your selected TTLock or Tuya platform to connect EntryCyl™ to its wider app ecosystem when internet-connected access and management features are required.

Practical backup when you need it.
EntryCyl™ is powered by 4 × AAA alkaline batteries. Battery performance will vary depending on the batteries selected, frequency of use, environment and connected functions.
The built-in Type-C port provides emergency power when required. It is an emergency power input and does not recharge the AAA batteries.
Using the mechanical backup key
Turn the key clockwise, then rotate the reader knob to complete the unlocking action. Do not force the lock open using the key alone.
If the batteries go flat
Use the Type-C emergency power interface or mechanical backup-key method to regain access, then replace the AAA batteries.

Does EntryCyl™ replace my door handle?
No. EntryCyl™ replaces the compatible cylinder while retaining your existing handle and surrounding locking hardware.
Will it work with a uPVC, composite, timber or aluminium door?
Potentially, yes. Compatibility depends on the cylinder profile, A/B measurements, locking mechanism and available clearance rather than the door material alone.
Will it work with a multipoint lock?
EntryCyl™ can be suitable for compatible cylinder-operated multipoint systems. It replaces the cylinder rather than motorising the complete multipoint mechanism.
Do I still need to lift my handle?
If your existing door requires the handle to be lifted before locking, you will generally continue to lift it before operating EntryCyl™.
Can I unlock with a fingerprint or PIN?
Yes. EntryCyl™ has an integrated fingerprint reader and PIN keypad, alongside RFID card, Bluetooth app and mechanical backup-key access.
Can I issue temporary codes and managed access?
Yes. Both TTLock and Tuya provide smart access-management functions. TTLock supports permanent, timed, one-time, custom and recurring passcode options, while Tuya supports temporary and time-limited password management through its smart-lock ecosystem. Available controls are presented through the app platform selected when ordering.
Can cleaners, guests or contractors have managed access?
Yes. Both app options are designed to manage electronic access for different users. This can be useful for family members, guests, cleaners, contractors, tenants or staff without relying solely on additional physical keys.
Can I still use a physical key?
Yes. EntryCyl™ includes mechanical backup keys for emergency access. Turn the key clockwise and then rotate the reader knob to complete the unlocking action.
What happens if the batteries go flat?
EntryCyl™ provides a Type-C emergency power interface as well as the mechanical backup-key method. Once access is restored, replace the 4 × AAA batteries.
Does EntryCyl™ have Wi-Fi?
EntryCyl™ uses Bluetooth for local app connectivity. A compatible gateway for your selected TTLock or Tuya version provides connection to the wider online app ecosystem.
Can I access EntryCyl™ remotely?
Connected features require a compatible gateway for the app version selected. Choose a TTLock gateway with the TTLock version or a compatible Tuya Bluetooth gateway with the Tuya version. Available remote functions are then managed through the corresponding app ecosystem.
What batteries does EntryCyl™ use?
EntryCyl™ uses 4 × AAA alkaline batteries. Battery life varies according to battery quality, frequency of use, operating conditions and connected functions.
Can I install EntryCyl™ myself?
EntryCyl™ is designed as a compatible cylinder replacement rather than a complete handle replacement. If you are comfortable removing and correctly fitting a Euro-profile cylinder, installation may be straightforward. If you are unsure, use a competent locksmith or installer.
What cylinder size do I need?
EntryCyl™ uses an adjustable configuration covering 60–90 mm and 90–120 mm overall ranges. Measure both A and B separately from the centre of the cylinder fixing screw and check the available reader and knob clearance.
Which extensions are included?

Is EntryCyl™ IP rated?
Yes. EntryCyl™ is IP66 rated for protection against dust and water ingress.
Does TTLock support access records?
Yes. TTLock provides access records including user and unlock-method information, with additional record-management functions available in the app.
Does Tuya support access records?
Yes. Tuya's smart-lock platform supports unlocking and activity records alongside user and credential management.
Does the app work on iPhone and Android?
TTLock and Tuya/Smart Life apps are available for compatible iOS and Android devices. Choose your preferred app platform when selecting EntryCyl™.
